Cynthia Taylor

Cynthia Taylor is a clean energy and infrastructure finance professional with over a decade of experience deploying capital into some of the most transformative investments in the energy sector. Currently serving as Director of Finance at TAE Technologies, she brings her deep expertise in credit underwriting and loan structuring to one of the most ambitious goals in modern energy — bringing fusion energy to commercial reality.

Prior to joining TAE Technologies, Cynthia served as a Senior Investment Officer at the U.S. Department of Energy's Loan Programs Office, where she was a key member of the Carbon Management team. In this role, she spearheaded ground-breaking investments in carbon capture and storage, industrial decarbonization, and biofuels — helping advance the nation's clean energy transition through innovative and high-impact loan structuring.

Cynthia's career also spans entrepreneurship, fund management, and academia. As Founder of Dream Fund Consulting, she led fundraising for higher education student loan funds, and as Founder and Managing Director of Perfect World Capital Group, she created and launched a $30MM multi-manager U.S. impact investment fund for European investors. She has also shared her expertise in the classroom as an Adjunct Professor of Global Finance at the Lorenzo de' Medici Institute in Florence, Italy.
